I am a Christian! I believe this is the most important distinction I can use! How about you? Do you have a faith to lean on? Are you searching for meaning in your life? There are three words that come to mind today - GOD IS LOVE. Oh, and how about these three? HE IS RISEN!
When we go through Holy Week, we are reminded that it started with great exultation. Next we are amongst Jesus' friends who are destined to betray him. We pray that we may be spared from the punishment that is meant to come. We watch as our Lord is beaten and crucified. We experience the darkness that followed. And then we are given the most glorious gift that God can give. We awake to Eternal Life! HE IS RISEN, and He loves us!
I think this Holy week is a parallel to our own lives. Each of us is celebrated upon our birth. We go through our lives with friends that may betray us. We might be the betrayers ourselves. We pray that we might be spared from a punishment that might banish us from Heaven. We all experience times of darkness in our lives. And then we are given the most glorious gift that God can give. We awake to the knowledge that we will have Eternal Life! HE IS RISEN, and He loves us!
My hope for each of you is that you understand that we must go through the darkness to get to the Light - and what a glorious Light it is!! Our journey going forward is to SPREAD THE WORD - that all it takes is those other three words: GOD LOVES US!

Back in business - rants and raves!
Well, it's been two weeks since I posted and I've got a lot to talk about! I had to start making a list so I wouldn't forget what's been on my mind. So, let me go back a week or so... to elections.
Will someone please tell me why we had to pay for two separate elections in my area - just 2 weeks apart? Everyone's always griping about spending - and we do this? My ballot had ONE issue on it the second election. ONE! I just can't stand the fact that we can't get ourselves together to have just ONE election day to pay for! Alright - that was my first rant!
How about a RAVE!? Do any of you watch "Army Wives"? I love this show! I wanted to just give a shout out to the writers, for starters. This season has been so real (at least to a civilian) - more so than even the past seasons I loved. The depth of emotion from these characters is wonderful. The next shout out - and the MOST IMPORTANT - is to the actual men and women who bravely serve our country. They only represent about 1% of the population, but what amazing sacrafices they make for the other 99%! I am humbled by the service of these individuals and hope to find a way to do my part to help them. I know that the First Lady and Jill Biden are working with a cause to help military families - JoiningForces.gov I'll have to try to find some opportunities for service there.
I've been busy working on launching a new business. I'm finalizing a website and getting all of my ducks in a row. I've wanted to find some legitimate online business opportunities for several years now. My mom has been finding different programs for us to investigate, but none have been a good fit for either her or me. Until now... I have found a couple of different things that are so easy - one is FREE - that I can't wait to get my site up and share it with you all! I've been on such a huge learning curve over the last few months - I'm trying to take the hard part away from those of you who may be interested in a home-based business yourselves. It can be a daunting task to learn how everything works online - and can be expensive. I didn't want to be selling something in the healthcare/beauty industry (that's just not for me) and I didn't want to have to beg friends and family to have parties, etc. But I HAVE done that. Not anymore! These business opportunities are actually fun and easy. Stay tuned for more in a couple of days on this matter.
So, I'll save another rant and rave (lots left on my list) for tomorrow.
Until then.... I'm thankful I live in a country where I can have the opinions I have!
